14 lbs of boost

I was testing my SC today after we installed a 3.125 pulley. Along with this I'm running a mustang impeller which gives me the equivelent of a 3.0 pulley. I'm also running a vortech aftercooler and erl water injection.
In 2nd gear (automatic) I ran up to 7200 rpm and the boost meter read 14 lbs. I was amazed and I called vortech and they said it sounds right! I'm sure the water injection kept my motor together.

Nice man...7200 ? ECU ?

Did I miss something here ?
JWT reprogrammed my computer.

Meanwhile, I talked to Jim this AM and he's sure they're 6 months away from producing cams for the 4th generation. The cams are already welded up. He also has pistons, rods, and springs he imported from Japan. The pistons are dished and will drop compression to 8:1. When the cams are done, I'll pull the engine and rebuild and then add nitrous.

Yeah but if his engine is reving higher than normal, then so is the s/c so it keeps building boost.

I talked to Rob at NRH today. I lost my reverse, my snap ring broke, so I'm going to send him my tranny and TQ. He will go thru it and do any updates he deems necessary. He is a very knowledgeable guy and his prices are very fair. Thanks for the info!!

No problem, did you happen to mention you got his name from me? just curios. He is real knowledgable, blew me out of the water when I went in to talk to him, he just went on a long time about so many different things, and I just told him my goal and he took care of it.

Hi Randy,

I'll probably be in Burbank in 4 weeks if all goes well. Monday I'm taking my car in to have the tranny and motor pulled. I bought some 9:1 pistons and rings and stiffer valve springs from JWT and they will be installed after I get some machining done. They will hone the cylinders, clean up the heads, do a 3 angled valve grind and balance the reciprocating mass. The pistons are from the same 4th gen. engine off a japan car that has a single turbo rated at350 hp. I.ll have to send my rods in for treatment and I hope to pick up a set of copper gaskets. When the car is back together, I'll be headed to JWT for a 75 shot of N2O and a new computer program. Hopefully we can meet up at that time.
