I think my Prelude may have been stolen!!!!!!!!!

I bought my Max in St.Louis last Wednesday and since I was out of town when I bought it, the dealership agreed to have my Prelude shipped back down here. The driving service called this morning and said that he was leaving StL a little after noon and would be in Nashville by 6pm. I went up there (almost 2 hour trip) and waited for almost two hours for him....haven't heard ANYTHING. I called the only number I have which I think is his cell and left like 6 messages. I haven't heard ANYTHING!!!! Should I call the police and report the car stolen????? I am so nervous/angry right now!!!!

Wow, I'd do something. That's BS. Hopefully the guy just had mechanical problems on the trip over there. Hope it goes ok for you. My friend has a Prelude just like that.

Who would steal a Prelude?

But seriously something wrong is going on. First call the dealership to see if they know anything. If not then call the headquarters for the transportation company, and see if they know anything on the status. If they don't, call the cops immeadiately. Tell they exactly what you did. However hopefully in the first few steps you will find out it's okay anyways. Good luck.

I thought st. louis to nashville would take longer than 6 hours, maybe he is just running late. But if not, like people said, call the cops

I'd call the cops. Better safe than sorry and I'm sure it helps to have the report in as soon as possible.

Call the cops and ask their advise. Maybe they will tell you to hold off or maybe this is unusual and you should report it. They see this way more than we do, right?

Well depending on his cell phone he could be out of range. I know I used to have a Sprint PCS phone and if somebody tried to call me while I was in a dead zone I couldn't receive the call nor would I even know they called. In any case I hope my theory is right and your car wasn't really stolen.

I wouldn't report the car stolen until you hear back from this driving service or whatever they are. I might call the police though and just let them know what's going on so that they're in the loop. That never hurts... Also try to call the supervisor/manager of this service.

he police are not going to do anything until you've coveredall bases. CAl the Dealer then the transportation service. See if you can geta name of the person transporting the car and hi home info. I they are not cooporative, tll them you are calling the police. Once you go to te police with this info, then they will look into it.

Well, the driving service called me and said they tried calling me multiple times that evening. Whatever! Anyway, they parked the car at the airport and flew home. I'll be up there again this weekend so I'll swing by and pick it up. I was just insanely paniced, but who wouldn't be? Thanks for the moral support guys.

Very true. I'd rather have worried for naught than sat by while some fiend molested my car and took it across country on a killing spree.
