i HIGHLY recommend that site...Awesome customer service!


the harness is a BRAND NEW(in my car for 2wks) Sparco 5pt Cam-Lock competion harness(red) w/bolt in kit!

 

in order for the hood sturt to work on the CF hood
1) you will need to tap two RIVET holes with threads matching the hood struts into the CF.. if you do not. the hood struts will jsut go thru the CF and it would be pointless
2) if you get too STRONG of a hood strut, the hood will BOW up where the connections to the piston rod of the hood strut. jsut watch out.
3) best bet is to get worn hood struts. i mean. it might be worn out for the stock 42 pound hood, but might be perfect for the 15 pound CF.

you are right.. i was wrong.. its been over a year

 

I did it a little differntly I used a washer in the front and back on the back washer I welded a nut to it with the same thread as the strut then I ground a hole in the frame and used a needle nose visegrip to hold it while tightening.
