Those with Progress Springs

Lots of us have been posting questions about these, but there are few answers coming up in the search. How about some feedback? Are you satisfied with the ride? Any bottoming out? What struts are you running and how have you adjusted them?

Re: Those with Progress Springs

I guess no one has put these on yet, or are afraid to say how bad they are <jk>

Seriously, I'm interested in them but haven't heard a thing from an owner yet.

Re: Re: Re: Those with Progress Springs

I have the progress springs on my max. I have had them for just about two years and can say that I have not scraped on anything. I love the ride and the drop. Im still running the stock SE struts and those are holding up fine. I would say that these springs are ones to get. Id buy them again in a heartbeat.
John.

Thanks John,

I think that is what everyone was wanting to hear, someone who has had them for a while.

i emailed progress yesterday about the springs for my 2k2. I got an email back stating they only make springs for the max up to 99.

the agx are on 2/4 and the ride is like..stock?
i still have stock 16's but the drop makes it look better.
i doubt ill have a problem with them. id say the struts you pick are more important - goodluck

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that struts are very important. The reason I didn't like the H&Rs I had before my coilovers was the poor ride of the Tokico blues, particularly being too soft in the back. I'm not too worried about scraping, since I have about the same drop with my coilovers and only occasionally hit parking lot speed bumps at 1mph. Since we have a couple of positive comments about ride, my remaining question is how responsive are these when the struts get tightened up for performance driving?

Not 100% sure I'm gonna change, but the roads around here are getting so bad I'm tired of it. The one coming down the hill to my house is worse than some dirt roads I've been on in Mojave. I've been on coilovers for 2 years now, and I'm not racing the car now because I'm in school and busy. There's also the gf factor. Gotta please the ladies sometimes, and the rough ride is killa. I still love the coilovers on decent roads, and anytime I get out of the city into the countryside (weekly) they are great. Unfortunately I do more driving on potholes and cracked pavement these days.

what spring rates you have? cuz when u get them directly you have to pick custom spring rates, i heard the quantity gc's are way too stiff, if mine arel ike that ill just order a softer pair for like 50 bucks, i duno,

380 Eibach in front, 375 Carrera in back. The rears are fine, but the front axle of a car takes about 9x the impact on bumps (I remember that from my 4x4 mod days). The GC Eibachs are nice, only 7 windings for 8" so less chance of coil binding. That'll destroy the integrity of the coils. I don't think lighter springs in front will work well for the Maxima, and heavier will probably throw the car around too much.
