I came back from a vacation today and went driving to get a haircut and to go wash the car. On the way back, I hit the gas a bit hard and to my surprise, chirped the tires at a very low RPM (like 2.5k) .. I thought "hmmmmmm, roads have been too ****ty to chirp the tires for the past 2 months, maybe they've gotten better while I was away".

So the next set of lights I slam on it, 2nd gear rolls in, high pitch squeel from the tires, and a big grin on my face

I did it afew other times, but with 140k km's and an old and moldy transmission that slips on 3-4 shifts, I was very surprised. VB Mod = yay.

Did you put your Tantrums back on yet?? If you haven't, you wanna do it next week or something..I ask cause I wanna put my rims back on the 240SX now...tired on winter tires..they squeal too much during turns.

I really hope it doesn't snow from next week..but knowing Canada...well..

Can you chirp 2nd gear with 18's? I'm not expecting to be able to since it took a month for me to chirp with the stockers and ****ty-grip tires.

Oh .. and I just wanted to say Don's VB can have you chirping into 2nd even with a transmission that slips 3-4 .. It might not work on *every* car, but it worked on mine.
