NOOOO!!! My Maxima Got F'd Up Today

This lady made a lane change right into me. It clearly ripped off my left fender, front bumper, driver mirror, jacked my front wheel up, did lots of damage to the driver's door as well.

This happened the day before I was supposed to leave for Texas

However, through some miraculous string pulling I was able to rent a car even though I'm not 21. So now I'm cruising in a 2001 Lincoln Town Car and I'm taking it to Texas in 12 hours.

Fortuntately, the accident isn't my fault, but I tihnk the lady gave me bunk insurance information. Anyways, my insurance company is covering it if they can't get her information. I should have my baby back in two weeks or so.

I already miss it!!

Re: NOOOO!!! My Maxima Got F'd Up Today

Man, bad day on the roads! Must be a Friday curse or something. I was about 50 miles from home, crossing a drawbridge with a metal grill road surface in the rain, and traffic past the bridge suddenly started jamming brakes for whatever reason. Well, if you know anything about metal bridges, they have almost zero traction under the best circumstances (bikers fear them for good reason), and driving rain ain't the best circumstance. We were going about 50, and fortunately I had about 60 feet between me and the big ugly old work truck in front of me. He just got off the bridge while he was on his brakes and so slowed down faster on pavement than me; I finally came to a halt about 2 feet from his bumper as he started up again. It took me about 10 miles to calm down from that one; my blood pressure really got pumping from the adrenaline!

how in the world did you manage to rent a Town car when you are under 21... they won't even let me rent one when I was 21.... saying something about "no luxury cars until 25"... but hey.. at least you don't have to worry about your SC acting up driving to TX

Take it to the track for some real fun. I bet you'll really appreciate the max when you get it back.

That's sick, man! They'd let that thing on the track? Without a clown suit or a shriner hat or something?

Damn Brian, sorry to hear about the car but you got damn lucky with the rental. . . To have them give you a Town Car to someone under 25, let alone 21, and to let them allw to to take it to Texas? That is a damn good deal. . .Who is the rental through?
