It may just quiet it down a little, but that's all.

Personally I wasn't all that impressed with the RT cat. I didn't feel much, if any, difference on the top end and lost torque on the low end. I'd stick with the stock cat - it's a very free flowing design as is and provides the right amount of backpressure for low end torque. I'd say get a pulley, CAI (or OSCAI) or heck even just change out the tranny fluid to synthetic instead. But to answer your question it actually made my exhaust not a bit louder.

1.) It won't change the sound much if at all
2.) Is it worth $170 - IMO, No
3.) 14hp?? More like 2-3hp to the wheels N/A
4.) Since this is the case, I would say buy a cheaper one and save your money. (Carsound, CatCo, etc.)

I guess if you have nothing better to spend the money on go for it. It's really just a compliment to the whole exhaust system. I would say don't expect much unless, of course, your stock cat is really clogged.
