A wheel question for you all

I have recently noticed that most wheel designs are duplicated by at least several manufacturers. It is like with most drugs, where you get a brand name and generic names. Is there a list out there, of wheels that look alike?

This may really help in choosing the wheel, can help save $$. Thanks for your help.

Quality of genuine Japanese made wheels is generally higher than knockoffs made elsewhere. European wheels are also generally of very high quality, as there are very strict standards there (tougher than in the US) for quality. Basically you get what you pay for 95% of the time.

Australian wheels are a great buy - they're tough as nails and reasonably priced too. Think 100 mi between gas stations on semi-paved roads and 110deg temps and you'll understand the tough part. (That's also part of why they don't like fwd there either).

Hmm...

It seems as though every Racing Hart rim is copied by atleast 2 other manefacturers. My CP-035s have copies made by Rota and Konig. But Weasel is right, you get what you pay for. Mine are forged aluminium, have metallic flake paint, and simply have the name of Racing Hart.

Aint that the truth. Oz are one of the best quality wheels out there.
