wazzzup with those crazy cheap Maximas?

I saw an ad in NJ at a Nissan dealer for a 97 GLE for $8995. That seems like a very low price if you ask me. But it struck me that the 97 has the funky odometer. Kinda weird that at the same dealer a 98 SE goes for 13995. And then there are several 98's with only 30-35k miles, that's weird.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has bought a 5-yr old Max for only 9 grand, because that is one nice looking car for that price.

Actually, one of the reasons I'm considering getting another 4th gen Maxima is because of the resale valve.

I don't think I could get anything else that's on par with the Maxima for about $6-7K.

Low resale value

You couldn't ask for a better time to pick up a cheap Maxima and mod the daylights out of it. Comfort and performance for a small price. What more can you ask for?

Thats cheap here in the Dallas area 97-98's SE's/GLE's are getting their premium. About 11-15k and thats from personal sellers. That is cheap for a 97 GLE unless it has 100 something thousand miles.
