what color tint would look good with my car?

whasssup guys, i need some opinions..... i'm thinking about getting my windows tinted but i don't know if i want regular tint or mirror. my car is red pearl (like vyrus's ) also due to state laws, i can only get 35% in my front windows but i can get it as dark as i want in the back. i want something that will be fairly hard to see through but i want the front and back to blend together as much as possible. let me know what you think!

Black metallic tint.

Mirror-type tints only look good on certain colored cars and once you change angles it's easy to see through the window.

Go with regular black, and dont mix the % front to back. It looks better when it's all the same.

I am from wisconsin which I imagine would be similar to missouri being in the midwest and all about tint laws. I have 20% all the way around, and I like the solid look.

Here is a link to the Missouri law http://www.autowindowtintings.com/ma...ction=Missouri

Cops don't pull you over just for tint, as long as you aren't doing something else illegal, but the look is often worth the fine.

Just get something all teh way around, and hope.

so just regular black tint eh? i agree that staying the same % all the way around would look better but i was hoping that mirror tint would blend better if i got something darker in the back. oh well. damn the sate laws, 35% sux i want 15%!

btw,97MaximaSE-L, thanks for the link, but it needs to be updated because missouri changed their laws last year and we can now have the fronts tinted too.

also, make sure that the place u get ur windows tinted at uses a metal-based film instead of a dye-based film, the dye-based films r the ones that will turn purple in about 3 years, the metal-based wont and almost all have a lifetime warranty with them..they r also slightly more reflective so they look a little better

Don't complain, NY is 70% I have 20s all around and its fine. You can get away with putting a darker shads on the back window, like 20 sides and 15 back

Damn, everyone likes the black tint. I like it too...but I like my metallic tint (Endurance I believe is the brand name) just a bit more. I got the darkest one they had and it goes really well with the pearl white color of my Max and the AE wheels I just got.

Definitely keep the tint percentage the same on all of the windows...

Trevor...state laws changed. You can't get as dark as you want all in the back anymore, just 35% all the way around. They used to not let anybody tint their front windows at all, so I guess it's a trade off. I'm getting my windows tinted on the Acura in about two months, I'm just getting 35% all around.

Of course...my car's not that wonderful red color you're stuck with...

wel it's funny how every tint shop i've called in the past 3 days has told me they can tint the rear windows as dark as i want but they can't tint the fronts past 35%.....

btw, i'll take my red acura eater over your slow 4 bangin' economobile.

Well hey...if you can get your windows tinted more than the legal limit, more power to ya...I think I'll stick to not getting tickets for things I can avoid. Hey...I called you Saturday night, was gonna show you the car, but I couldn't get ahold of you.

Yeah I agree with the other guys, definitely go with the same percent all around (35% for you). It always looks cleaner on a sedan although on a coupe or SUV I think a darker tint in the rear looks great.
As far as the color, I have seen the "cherry red" tint and I think it's nasty. The "cool blue" is nice and it keeps the sun out somewhat but the red tint is unfortunately heat-seeking and at times just plain freaky. Mirror tint might look good on a GXE or GLE which has chrome door-handles, but on your car without them it would look a little odd (unless you have chrome wheels). And so you have another vote for BLACK. It's classic, sleek, and efficient. I plan on getting it (maybe 15% though) in a few weeks myself. $140 for any percentage on all 5 windows is the best deal I've found around here. Just make sure you get a 1-piece back window.
