Well, the beloved preludeonline.com is down for a couple of weeks so I invited a fellow Luder to join us over here. Not a troll, just a fellow enthusiasts. BTW, ask him if MAXimA OwnZ HiM. His name is jacques and he does the 1/4 in under 20 seconds. Lets give him a warm welcome.

Two different kinds of racing...besides, the Prelude's forte was in handling: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran...ture_thebe.xml

I'm in the top quarter (out of 134 drivers) in index, in a class that doesn't give me much adjustment on overall ranking (STX...home of modded WRXs, Integra Type Rs, Mustang GTs, 3000GT VR-4s). Think of the gap I had on you as an eternity.

My former boss had a lude, not the SH, but it was still nice. He even smokes, on the cell phone, and shift, all with his right hand, now that is some skillz.

hey Ed, if you need help on the autocross part of your competition, you can borrow my car and show him what a maxima can do. You might have to keep your car for the track, but I did the 1/4 mile under 20 seconds also, so it might be close there too.

a friend of mine has an Integra GSR with full exhaust, intake and some other stuff--he runs 15 flat--is this car a good comparison for the Prelude?

Well, MY Prelude would eat up comparable modded GS-Rs. Just look at my sig. That being said, the Prelude is notoriously hard to launch so its all in the drivers skill.

Dont worry, Jacques can hold his own. I'm just giving him a hard time since I know him pretty well. He did buy my VAFC off me so he has some of my cars magic now.

Matt, I think I'll be okay on the next auto-x since I ordered about $1600.00 of suspension mods a couple of days ago. .

His name sound familar. When I used to lurk around prelude board, I remember his name. Btw, I was known as "Aznlude" when I was there. Almost got a Prelude too.

Ed, you mentioned suspension mods...what did you get that added up to $1600? When I got into autocrossing, I soon bought the Ground Control coilovers, Koni yellows, and Spoon front/rear strut bars. I'm probably going to order the ST or Neuspeed rear sway (the stock front sway in the SH is very think already) to complete my suspension mods.

Ed, you're hooked.

My mods include (en route) Stillen Front Strut Bar, Stillen adjustable rear sway bar, KYB AGX 5 way adjustable front and rear shocks, Eibach Pro-Springs front and rear, Urethane front engine bushings, and a Warpspeed underbody structural brace. Thats not including new tires (which I'm still thinking about). Yeah, you could say that I'm hooked .

Stillen is supposed to be coming out with a header/Y-pipe combo within the next month that is claimed to make 25whp. I'll be getting that as soon as it becomes available. I dunno, the Maxima is actually a car that I could live with its stock power. Ofcourse Nismo coming this fall should empty my wallet as well.

Not personally, but I see him post all the time. He is a mod also I believe. Actually he knows VeeTec pretty well on here too. They are both from the Atlanta region originally I believe.

Yes, I know Atlxchnk (Sam). I never met him in person, but I do know him since he's also a mod at PO.com.

I went to the track yesterday night. I ran horrible so forget me. Anyway, there was a 5th gen Prelude there, blue one. The one run that I saw him in, he ran a 14.2

Don't know what he has done to it though. Although the Prelude was fast. The driver was an idiot. He kept reving up his engine there when everyone was waiting in line to race. Mine you, he's doing that with 13-10 sec Camaros and Mustangs around him. How dumb. He wasn't the only one. All the other Hondas/Acuras that were there were doing the same thing. He might be fast, but those other cars were high 15s to high 16s cars. Bunch of idiots if you ask me.

Hm...I wonder is he on the Prelude board? Btw, he had what seem like a big Cherry bomb exhaust, white windshield banner on this front and rear windshield. Also, white OEM(I think)bodykit, hope he's going to get them painted and not leaving them white on purpose.

Hard to say...though, at PreludeOnline, there aren't alot of members with with the "Electric Blue Pearl" color, so you could narrow it down a little. As for the revving part, I could understand that he is revving it high, because most of the 5th gen Prelude's torque peak is above 5000rpms (as well as the VTEC changeover). But, if he was doing this at the grid area, then he was being stupid.

I've met him a couple times going to Maxima meets and one or two Prelude meets. I remember his friend drove a dark green 4th Gen Max w/ 18" Momo sports and full Stillen kit. Its been a long time since I've seen Sam...last time I saw him was a meet almost 2 years ago when he first got his TE-37's on his first Prelude.

I didn't really care for it all that much...too many riceboys and stuff. It's cleaned-up a little recently (I'm still a member there), but still not as good as PreludeOnline.com. The forums at PO are split up by generations (similar to here), and tech stuff. We also have an Off-Topic forum...a few members from maxima.org post over there. We hope to get PO.com back up in a couple of weeks.

Other Honda/Acura sites that I occasionally go to www.honda-acura.net, www.honda-tech.com, www.vtec.net, and www.hondastyle.com.

We hope to get PO.com back up in a couple of weeks.
