I think the Sprints will get rid of almost all your wheel gap, if not all of it. With the Sprint/KYB combo your ride will be pretty harsh considering the amount of drop and the type of struts you are putting in. But, you'll love the increased handleing. No, a camber kit is not necessary.

Go for it guy and get some Konis adjustables since they come with lifetime warranty or be bias and get the good KYBS everyone gets (1 year warranty) and your ride will be just fine, especially if the road conditions are good i.e.. no potholes. I am riding on cut springs and adjustable Konis it rides just as good as stock. Maximas are not trucks when you lower trucks you ride on a brick our cars can be lowered up to 2 inches and your ride is fine, I can vouch for that and so can Mike (Cumalot) he as sprints and adjustables. You are like me no wheel gap I hate that it looks nasty, your car will look nice trust me on that one.

hey jamie.. how do you have your koni's set (i hope you havent been asked this 1000 times), and do i have to remove the entire rear assembly to adjust them.. i cant stand asking stupid questions, but its 130am so i can justify it?

just cut your eibachs, and get konis.

When compared to my stock struts the ride is much firmer. But, I have them set to 3 in the front and 6 in the back, which is a very stiff ride, because I like to take turns really fast. I'm sure if I was on 1 and 3 or so, the ride would be very comparable to stock. That's the good thing about adjustable struts. I'm just lazy and always leave mine at 3 and 6.

I dont know if dude replied to my thread with the rolled eyes but I dont live in Florida I live in pothole kingdom new orleans loiuisiana, anyways to answer this rear koni adjustable question, if you go to the track then get the KYBS since you can tighten the shock all the way from the outside, as for the konis you have to stick an allen wrench on the top of the rear koni shock compress it all the way down upside down and you can twist the shock two full 360 degree turns and another 180 turn for a total of 2.5 turns, and thats how you adjust them. Heck if your not mechanically inclined get KYBs and enjoy life, Ill jump on the KYB wagon as well then.

my fault i thought you said you lived in florida before... i dont think new orleans can be much worse than NYC when it comes to potholes ask papasmurf how he felt when he drove up to NY for the meet in february, he wanted to call the city and complain lol

I wished I lived in Miami again, no that is where I grew up in FL, but 2 years ago my parents moved to Atlanta. I am currently living in this sh!tty as city of New Orleans and I have to memorize all the potholes and their locations, honestly if the potholes are over 2 inches deep I might bust my tires or bent my wheels. There is a nice city you have to drive thru to get to New Orleans called Slidell talk about a nicely built highway, you will hit bumps hard, I spoke to Shadow he said he went airborne when he drove down here for the Maridgras. This is not the place to slam your car all the way down, you will literally damage your car. As for ride quality it kind of ****es me off when people live in a state with nice roads and sound like little girls oooooh the car rides rough, I am like why do you want to modify the suspension then? I am not going to lie to answer my koni adjustment question I have my fronts to ride stiff all the time and the rears to 75% stiff, 2 full turns. I did loosened the shocks for a week to get a break and totally forgot about it, it was back to full cush. The car does not ride like a brick unless your constantly hitting bumps back to back like here in New Orleans, less suspension travel comes to play then, but on normal roads the car rides fine and handles nicely.

Re: spring question?

OOOh to answer the guys question about KYBs, I rode in Mardigras Max and he has KYB adjustables they ride fine as long as you have the rebound of the shock adjusted to ride soft. Adjustable shocks control the rebound of the rod, if it comes up fast you get a nice soft ride, if you tighten the rod it will come up very slow giving your car a lower stance while driving therefor giving you a stiffer ride and better handling. If you have money issues just go with the KYBS adjustables you cant go wrong. If your not mechanically inclined dont even bother with the Konis.
