Chrome ring installation help

To those that have installed the guage rings, I was wondering if you had to remove the steering wheel. I tried today and got pretty frustrated. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

maximadriver.com Read the indiglo gauge installation. It shows you how to access the cluster.

Here are some good pictures of an install. It should give you a good idea of what comes off, what stays on, etc... It's for a 5th gen, but you'll get the idea.

Yeah, I was just having trouble getting the plastic panel out. I kept bonking the steering wheel, but I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

I had "fun" getting all those plastic pieces apart as well. Good luck.
