springs coming loose!!!
i was going to cut one coil from each of my front eibach springs....i have a 2001 maxima...if i do that how much will my car drop in the front? ALSO..when i went to get it done the guy told me he would do it but im taking a risk of the spring popping out.....or coming loose....is that possible?

The springs will be shorter when you cut them. They could pop out of the rubber isolator when the car is not loaded. ie. when jacking your car up. No big deal..your car would just ride funny and make tons of noise.

Same thing. It will get shorter and you also compromise the integrity of the spring. I don't know..maybe 10 years down the road, the springs will snap in half.
