Re: Re: Anyone using HKS Twin power?
I know I'm pushing the limits of the stock ignition system. On nitrous with stock spark plug gap, the car would miss around 5k rpm. When I closed the gap to 0.032", the car runs fine. Hopefully, I can open back up the gap to get a bigger spark with HKS Twin Power DLI. It is true that Loren did not see any gain from it, but maybe he not putting as much strain on the ignition system as I am. I got it used, so it was worth a try

I'm curious, Loren in the past (other bbs) posted no dyno gains with the HKS ignition on his supercharged max. Wouldn't be better to run like a MSD digital 6+4 or a TEC II?

Same size but, 245/40/18 Bridgestone RE730.
I believe Vapors SMX had the HKS Twin Power... didn't get good results with it either.

Hey Kev, have you tried to clean them yet? What a pain
I can't get my hand into the inner part of the rim anyway. With my old TE37, I was able to. I'm looking into a soft cone style type of wheel brush so I can get in there. Make sure your center caps are on tight. I lost one last weekend.

Thanks for the tip about the center caps. I'm sure they're expensive to replace.

Not to sound harsh or anything, but that device was a waste of money. Per dyno tests on a Supercharged 97 Maxima that pushes 300+hp at the wheels it gained nothing from it. It actually I believe caused less hp to be produced.
The Maximas ignition system is already very good.
