Decisions on HID bulbs

Ok guys heres a lil dilemma I've been having.
Right now in my car I have 4350k or whatever HID bulbs
and those ugly boys are starting to turn yellow.
Anyway, I gotta buy some new ones and I've been given a choice.
Either the 6000K's or the 8000K's.
What would you guys think are the better bulbs in terms of
vision, looks, legality (which is more noticeable by cops)

I've seen plenty 'o 6000k's and I dont mind having the blue.
A coworker of mine put 8000K's in his Acura legend and that was
WAAAAY purple. Seemed kinda dim too... anyway let me know what you guys think.

I think you should convert your headlight to BMW headlights (E36) projector. Then add HID to the low beam. That would be tight!

Are you running a true HID system or just the knock off bulbs? You mention your bulbs are starting to turn yellow.... HID bulbs don't turn yellow, their color temperature doesn't change. A Zenon Gas Filled 12 Volt bulb will lose it's color temperature after a while. Even the PIAA's will start to lose their "look" after some time.

If your looking at true HID systems, 6000K is a nice blue color and it's useable light. 8000K, I'm not sure if thats the temp of the Purple bubls or not, there called Crystal White, is brighter then 6000K. I have the Hanabi HID conversiion kit in my car, I also have both 6000K (Blue) and 8000K ?? (Purple) bulbs. The 8000K ?? Purple color bulbs are much brighter then the blue ones. I don't know what that Acure you looked at had as far as bulbs go, but there's much more light on the road with the Purple bulbs. I run them in the winter time because it's dark so early and I can't see for $hit. I've just switch over to the blue ones for summer, It's light out a lot later so I don't use my headlights that much anymore and the blue look is "cooler"
