Hi Temp Clearcoat
Is there such thing as a hi temp clearcoat? For instance, I wanted to paint my valve cover body color which is a metallic green. I have the spray can for it, which I will be using on my door handles but Im wondering about it's reliability under the heat. Is there such thing as a hi-temp sealant of some sort that will protect the paint if I dont use a hi temp basecoat?
Thanks
Thanks

Sand it. I wouldn't put thinner on plastics. I've seen some bad things happen to plastic because of using thinners.

I have also heard the same but I took a chance and used it on my valve cover and it worked perfectly. Very clean, where I know sanding could not be.
