I started with setting 1 on the front and 2 on the rear. These settings soaked up the bumps fine with little harshness but felt a bit floaty in hard turns and multiple bumps in a quick succession.

Then I changed to setting 2 on the front and 4 on the rear. The floating sensation went away all together but the rear rides a little harsh. The rear rides decent with a full to half tank, but when I get to 1/4 tank or less is when the rear stiffens up. I just changed the rear setting to 3 the other day to try something different.

I've only had mine for a couple of weeks (set on 2 & 4) with H&Rs, but the ride is very comfortable. The bumps aren't harse and the handling is outstanding. Getting around corners at 60 mph is much safer now. I have a 96 GLE and the stock struts/shocks were in poor condition, and had some strut chatter (my mechanics term for the noise I would hear going over bumps). I might play around with the settings to see how it effects the ride.

You shouldn't have problems. I was using 245/40s though. As long as you don't hit "huge" potholes, you should be fine... I had them on my car for about 2 years without problems before I increased my suspension travel just recently.

Re: Kyb-agx

I run 2 in front, 5 in the rear. It's a bit on the firm side, but soft enough to handle harsh bumps and still handles well. If I want to burn up the twisties, I'd probably go 3/6. I'd only go higher on a really smooth road or track.

Here's suspension tuning info from Roger Kraus Racing. Click "Oversteer/Understeer Correction Sheet" under Tech Sheets.

With my coilovers(cattmans) I run them with the 19x8.5 with 245-35 rubber either at 2 front 4 rear or 3 front 5 rear, just depends on that day.
