problem when you accelerate

I drive my car to a mechanic to change the tranny fluid this saturday, when my brother pick the car every thing was ok but at the night he went out and when he accelerate the car tha car seens not to have power, them he slowly drive tha car back home and when i check the car have the coil unplugged, I plug it but the car did start. in a couple of tries later it start but now some times whem you accelerate the car it loose all the power and olmost shut off the it gains the power again. What could be the problem?
Mabe tha coil its damange, mabe tha cat converter fail or the fuel filter, what do you think?

Re: problem when you accelerate

I had that or a similar problem a couple of months ago right after I took my car for the 60K service at a nissan dealer.
The first time was when my car came to a complete stop at a stop sign; when I pushed the gas pedal to continue, the RPM dropped to 200 but didn't die- like a standard when you release the clutch too fast -only problem was that I have an automatic. The second time happened when I was parking, but this time i hit the gas as the RPMs were dropping, it ended up shutting off completely.
Days later the CEL came out with the code "MULTIPLE CYLYNDER MISFIRE." All i did was reset the ECU and I haven't had that problem ever since.
I still think that the dealer did something wrong around the spark plugs. Check your ignition coils and spark plugs.

I ask myself the same question everyday after reading some of the posts on maxima.org.

Hey, don't feel bad... After 10+ years of English courses and 10 years living in the States, I still only get half of what the "Crocodrile Hunter" says...
It's good that I haven't forgotten my Spanish though. Did your girlfriends teach you any Salsa dancing??!!
