Last nite on the way home I was in the car with a friend when we saw an accord, about 90-92. I was going about 40 and he pulled next to me and wanted to race, so I humored him. I pretended to just be able to keep up, so i was next to him for about 10 sec then I floored it and blew his doors off. But this is just the begining.At the next light I pulled next to a Z28, he revs at me I rev back. It was a LT1 Z28 I think that would make it 94-97, with three people in it.So we go and after 1st I was half a car behind, lots of wheel hop but by the end of second I was about 2-3 cars ahead. I stop half way into three about 3-4 ahead, flashed the four-ways on him. He stayed behind me the rest of the way.

Let me ask you this. If you were in a race would you know it?

 

how do you know he wasn't just driving fast.... people do do that you know!

 

 

The LS1 SS is fast. The LT1 is not as fast as you think. What does it run, low to mid 14's. I don't think thats gonna blow my doors off.

 

14s my ****. LT1s do 13s EASY. do some research buddy, even if you had all the bolt-ons and a 1/4 tank of gas and he had a full tank and 3 people he would still beat you. i think he was laughing at you as you took off......

 

my neighbor has a trans am 6sp. i've seen him run low 14s and act very disappointed. the last time he ran he got 13.5 once. my conclusion: it's very difficult to drive that car effectively on the track.

 

An auto 2.83 LT1 is a mid-low 14 second car stock... don't get it fugged up. BriGuyMax and I beat the pants off one on the highway when Brians car was putting only 158 hp to the wheels... we have 4 runs with him on video. If Brians car had been making the power it should (like 190 to the wheels) or if we'd been in my car the guy would not have hardly been able to see us we'd have killed him so badly.

I believe the LT1 kill, especially with 3 people in the car. Like I said, we have 4 LT1 kills in a row on video.

 

hey Budd.. I used to own a 94 LT1 TA 6 speed. I used to TOY with cars like you ! I have a 2K2 and I wouldnt dare F&*^ with an LT1 . Yes they Run low 14's STOCK. I had Headers, 4 inch exhaust all the way back, and a CAI, and I ran a 12.5 at Englishtown.....sorry to break it to you... he has TOYING with you ! Oh, remember, I am a MAXX OWNER ! So I am not degrading Maxxes !

 

Geez. This guys shares his excitement over a car he had fun with and you guys are ready to crucify him I believe he did it. Why would he lie? Anyways, the TA could have been stock or he coulda had engine problems. or maybe he just can't drive.

 

What year, tranny, and mods? Don't see anyone asking him that.

 

really who cares anymore, its just gonna go abck and forth! it happens everytime someone posts a win, theres no point at all.....everyone has had different expeiriences with different cars so there is no real point os arguing, at least is wasn't a CL-S, you can't beat those!(j/k)
