alternator ?
alternator ?
does anyone know where i can get a Rebuilt alternator for a 2000 maxima, i think mine is starting to go the berring is squeeking really bad and my battery has gone dead twice i went to nissan and a new one is 260 bucks with a 75 dollar core so any cheaper then that would be great
If you insist on a rebuilt, don't go for the lowest price. Rebuilt alternators and starters are a crap shoot. Cheap replacement components and poor reassembly are common even when an OEM core is used. Be ready to swap out a few rejects before getting a good one that lasts more than a month. Is it worth your time and effort? And those lifetime warranties they come with are bogus indicators of quality.
Unless Nissan or an authorized reseller offers a "certified" rebuilt at lower cost you should reconsider the new alternator. Don't forget to get the charging circuit checked.
