Well, I have a personal method of getting spontaneous traction now. Cut the wheel 1/2 way ( so it's perpendicular to the normal position ), accelerate hard ( not flooring it of course ), straighten out right after you hit the pedal and your tires will barely chirp. It may sound strange, but hey it obviously worked for me. I grabbed the pavement and pulled so hard I knew the two runs I made were significantly faster than my old times right from the start. My first run was a 6.88 and second a 6.99. Nonetheless, I was pleased. For comparison's sake, isn't that about the same as mzmtg?

5.75 = 6spd 2002 with a stillen intake
5.98 = 5spd 95 with a ton of bolts on's and a killer launch!

Craig, I seem to remember a post just a little while ago about how somebody's sister's stock Maxima had mad acceleration compared to theirs.

That sounds about right. When I had my 95 Max with VB mod, stillen intake, Apexi exhaust, I was pulling 6.8s on GTech consistently.

 

so what I can do it in less than a second, 0-60 accleration, just throw the damn gtech out the window when the car is rolling as hard/far as you can

 

Hmm... I think with a little practice I will be able to hit 6.8s consistently as well. I know my problem is a lack of traction, so once I find a sure-fire way of getting it, I will be set. All I have is an HAI and lightweight wheels ( probably my tracion problem ). Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see how more runs go.
