It's a fine car IMHO if you're gonna keep it at least 5 years and you could care less about how a car looks. If you keep it a short time even at 24k it's no bargain, the depreciation is killer. It's not average as some seem to say, it's extremely steep. RS-X has very nice depreciation so if they were both say 25k the Max is actually much much more. That dep. is part of the cost of ownership.
Not THAT much worse...

That's:
54.7% Max
56.7% RSX

Be sure to haggle with the dealers, I just bought a 2K2 SE auto in northern Mass for $21,999 (Before sales tax). Let the dealers know that you know there is a 3% dealer holdback on new Maxima's. You should be able to get one under dealer invoice and your $1000 rebate.

Happy hunting....

Yup Kelly Nissan in Lynnfield. I purchased the car in Feb and was in and out of the dealership in about an hour. They even gave me a lower APR on my loan than I got from my credit union 5.4% for 5 years. It would have been way lower if I went for 3 years but I can't afford that. I will be bringing my car in for its first service soon, got 3,300 miles on it now, will let you know if service was as good as sales dept

ahh hearing all this Supposed to be Maxima Enthusiasts talking crap about nissan Well I don't want to here it go buy the ugliest car on the planet(OPINION)WRX or get a BMW which is the greatest car ever built. Go to a BMW dealership and see what service you will get or price for service than come back here. M series is a great series but there are better in my mind for the same price I driven in a Brand new M3 many times and yeah its great but would I fork over about $60,000+ no! So lets stop comparing.
