Is K&N Filter really worth it??
I don't know if anyone's dynoed a K&N panel filter, but I know that they don't add much, if any, horsepower. The benefits are that they give quicker throttle response, and they last forever, so you'll save money over a long period of time. And, supposedly, they filter better than stock.
Re: not much.....
It's true that the panel filter's main advantage is its reusability. The panel filter costs around $40-50. The cone filter costs around $120, and gives the engine a nice snarl when you gas it. The CAI gives yet more power, but you have to cut a hole in your underhood fender to mount the unit.

For the that much you can buy a used pop charger or stillen intake and get more power. However I say go with a CAI and get the most power.
