CV Boot for a 95 Mazda 626....

This is for a friend...He went to the dealer for a brake job and they told him that he needed to replace his CV boots. Supposedly they said it was like $332 for one side and $700 for both fronts. That seemed high to me... Now one of his boots are cracked. What should he do??? When he turns you can hear like a creeping sound...

Thanks
Chris

This is OT, but to keep it On T, I went to Nissan to get mine done and they wanted to rim job me, 684 for both. Buy the axles from auto Zone or raxles.com, and have a local trusted mechanic do it or do it yourslef, mine were 384 installed fro both front.

My girlfriend has a '96 626 and the same thing happened to her, the dealership gave her a quote for like $600!! We took it somewhere else and got it for about half that.
