First near accident escape :)

hapenned when i was heading home with gf.... just had finished getting some souvlaki to eat, driving on a 3 lane road.

I was in the middle lane, when i decided to switch to the right lane, since my street was coming up soon.

Theres a minivan with the words "school bus" waiting at a stop sign, and slowly starts turning onto the road, into the right lane that i was going to. Obviously i'm going alot faster than he is going, not to mention a little bit faster than traffic. as he turns onto the road, i'm like WTF!!!!!!!!
I see my gf brace for impact, which looked inevitable! I quickly decide to swerve back into the middle lane. problem, theres a car there! i have to press on the brake a bit harder ( i was worried i'd start skidding since it was raining outside) by this time the minivan
was within inches of my car, and if i swerve to the middle lane, i have a car within a foot of my drivers door. so i pressed down on the brake a little bit more, and quickly downshift. at this point the middle lane car moved and i quickly notice no car is behind him, i swerve to the middle lane and my adrenaline makes me gun my car. I swerve in front of the minivan really ****ed off. But i take a deep breathe and calm down.

Man that had scared the crap out of me! and my gf!

And that is all. I'm just really really happy i was able to think so quickly and be able to avoid an accident that could have involved alot of other cars. (traffic wasn't that light around me...)

I then drove home, where me and my gf enjoyed our souvlaki very much.

Sorry about the long post I'm just glad me, my gf, and my car are ok

thanks hehe i was actually very happy that i reacted quickly and intelligently like that. I can think of a time when my mom was driving me somehwere when i was younger. Lightning struck like off in the distance (miles away kinda thing) she got scared, took both hands off the wheel and hid her eyes..... the car was still rolling.

my mother = bad bad driver! hehe

yeah the souvlaki was pretty damn good!
