5th Gen SC removal..

For all of you who heard about my problem with Vortech, Its not lookin to good so I think I will have to try to remove the blower myself. Does anyone have a write up on how to remove the blower for 5th Gens? Or maybe even a write-up on how to covert back to stock if you wanted to?

I feel for you guy!!!is not that hard to remove the blower itself, you will need 8MM, 10MM, 14MM sockets and 12MM, 13MM ,14MM, 19MMopen end wrenches and a 5MM allen wrench to remove that blower. Also the smaller 10MM bolts I would get a cardboard box and plug them in there in the order you take them out they are different sizes. Believe me if I was there Id take it off for you in about 1hr and half or less.

I can remove it for you in less than 45 minutes (timed myself one day).

You don't trust my reply to your PM?

By all means if Kevin wants to do it for you let him do it, he must be a pro by now, dealing with the 4th and 5th gens

Vortech F'd up and sent me back the blower, after CLAIMING they fixed it... they didnt test it. I pay to have it re-installed only to find out after its in that its still shot! I told them they need to pay for my install fees since they messed up and they are giving me a very hard time! They will fix theblower for me but I have to either pay to have it taken out or try and do it myself and send it to them. My thing is, I dont feel I should pay for their mistake. I will try to take it out myself and send it for repairs if I can get it out without paying someone to do it. The install write-up is not really what I'm looking for. I'm hoping someone hs a write-up somewhere on how to remove the blower for cases like mine and a write-up on how to convert from the SC setup back to stock. I would love to keep my SC in bu not if its giving me so much trouble.

Once again... the BBB address fo the area of California that handles Vortech is:

Better Business Bureau of the Tri-Counties
PO Box 129
Santa Barbara, CA. 93102

If anyone has any complaints about Vortech (I understand there have been alot in the past also) I would suggest writing a letter to the BBB like I have to force Vortech to change their ways i they get enoug negative publicity.
