VB mod won't increase noise. I would get a tranny cooler before a VB.

It simply quickens the shift, thus allowing you to accelerate at a faster pace. I'm not sure if it fits the I-30, but I would assume so. Just contact Don at vbinformation@mobiletek.net and he'll answer that question for you better than we could.

If you're a casual driver and don't get into it know and then I wouldn't recommend his VB. It changes the everyday driving characteristics of the tranny. It's a good mod which I feel is really intended for force/nos cars, but does work well with n/a cars. So if you're willing to give up that cushion shift between gears with light throttle go for it. I've had mine for about 12-13K and ever now and then the slapping into gear gets kinda annoying with light throttle. But with WOT, ever car enthusiates that drove in my car and feels the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts always replies withthe word "damn that was fast shifting"
