I need someone who knows cars

On the last day I had my maxima on the road before I left for school I started to hear a grinding noise that sounded like it was coming from underneath the back of the engine. The car runs, but is not drivable and there is still a loud grinding and if you look at the front two wheels, the bottom of the wheels are tilted out away from the car. Someone mentioned cv joint to me, but I don't know if that could be it. Any ideas on what this could be, if it is fixable, and about how much it would cost?

Thank you

I agree, you do need someone that knows about cars. Your description is way to vague to make an accurate guess but the Cv(constant velocity joint) or drive axle sounds broken. Have it towed to a trusted mechanic. They will know within about 10 minutes, what is wrong w/ the car.

The thing that bothers me most is both of his wheels are cambered out. One quick look under the car should tell a nice story.
