Are you getting a 350z Cheston? They do look alot better than the RX8s, which look pretty gay stock. A spoiler might help though. Anyhoo...

Ooo...Vegas!
On a side note, CJP, I have to disagree with you.
While both cars look cool to me, I give the nod to
the RX8. But the RX8's 162ftlbs of torque definitely
is a thumbs down.
Go Nissan!

Maxus 2001
While Maxus here was good in DC, this meet sounds like it will be much bigger, I think we had like 80-90 maximas last year at 75/80 for Maxus. We are bringing a big crew to NJ for this one.

i say toronto or somewhere close and vegas. i'd consider vegas but i'm not even 21 so that's not worth the drive but toronto is cooler weather, nice place and i'm sure we'd have a 100car east coast turnout and then west coast people in vegas(~10 cars ) i say have two this year.

Actually it was more like 50-60, people were coming and going all day long. Most of these guys were Socal, with only 3 of the norcal guys there. We also had a bunch of socal guys that couldn't make it.
It's not a matter of turn out, it's more of a matter of we haven't had a chance to show our solidarity. If you count all the ppl from TX, CO, NV, WA and whoever else wants to fly in, I'm sure we could easily break 120 maximas.
Not to mention that there is just TONS of stuff to do in and around vegas. Casinos, shows, clubs, strippers, a road race and drag track about 10 miles out of town.
And nothing but open space for us to park our cars.
Consider the alternative.. toronto... That would constitute leaving the country for most of us, not to mention it's about 3000 miles away from half of the members on this board.
All airlines fly cheap to vegas, and you can get to the interstate 15 from just about anywhere

Let's get back to where it started and have another one in Dallas. (My real vote is for Tulsa, but only about 6 people would show up then)
but the TX/Ok guys votes don't count anymore.. we've been overrun by the rest of you freaks..

Maxus 2000 had around 60 cars, and several other members flew in for it.
last dyno Meet in dallas I went to had around 40..
had a meet a couple months ago with about 25 cars, and it was all of 45 deg outside.
that's just dallas area guys showing up too. a few drove in from farther away like Bret and I (Waco and Tulsa.. under 4 hours each way). The larger meets will get people from San Antonio and Houston in, and there will be 40-50 or more.
They're not huge meets, but it's not "6 idiots meeting up and getting drunk" like people seem to make it out to be.
the first Maxus had around 100 cars, but I didn't attend.. I came into the Max scene just a few months prior to that and didn't know WTF Maxus was until after it was over or I would have gone.
