This doesnt make SENSE! Pulled on a 2k2 max!

I just raced my friends auto 2k2 max and we hit it on a roll at 20mph. To the end of first and half through second he pulled his fender ahead of me. But once i was halfway through 3rd I started pulling HIM. We shut down around 95mph with me less than half a car ahead. I have a 95 5spd with i/y. I had one guy with me and he had 2. It just doesnt make sense does it??? There are only like 6,000 miles on his car, so i doubt it has a problem. Anyways, I'm pumped!

Nealoc187 pulled a 2k2 auto pretty good a while back....nothing is wrong with his car....they run high 14s stock...an intake, y-pipe 4th gen is capable of mid 14s

BPU Auto 2Ks will inch by 2K2 Autos.
BPU 5spd 2Ks will beat 2K2 Autos.
*given the 2K2 is bone stock, and doesn't manually shift.

Or NY drivers SUCK ?

I saw a 2002 Auto w/intake run 15.3 at the track, so I could see you pull on a Auto 2k2

Damn, that is sad.. I guess stock 2k2 auto and 2k1 5spd max are equally match?

yes those are mathced but even a BPU 2k-2k1 auto wouldn't beat a stock 2k2 auto. but a I/Y 4th gen stick should pull slightly on a 2k2 auto.

He either wasn't trying or can't drive. I've owned both cars and there is no comparison, He should have blown your doors off

Smithtown Nissan's 2K2, at the track ran 14.97-15.4, it all depends on the launch I assume. My quickest time was below the 2K2 Auto's times, but their 2K2 A/T Altima ran 14.71-15.1, which is quicker than my N/A times. My 2K1 Pathfinder on Juice can kick a 2K2 6spd's ****.
2WD 5spd, HD Tow Package.

Aren't all the max autos the same? 2k2 or not, still 4-spd auto, very old technology. All the good cars have 5-spd and 6-spd autos now, 4-spd was like 1984 or so! even integra comes with a 5-spd auto.

I have 45k on my 99se automatic and its in the shop. I am renting a 2k2 automatic Max for a month while mine is repaired. This 2k2 would smoke my 99 sooooo bad. From 20 mph it pulls ALOT harder. 3rd gear pulls hard from 80 up, my 99 feels like a dog compared to this car. 65 hp will do that I guess. Slushbox to slushbox no comparison. 5 speed driven RIGHT would be a race.......yeah so go race a 6 speed.ha ha.

LI Motorsportspark 3/29/02
13.98 @ 99mph
60ft: 2.11

I'm putting 194hp, 209lb ft N/A.
268hp 312lb ft torque to the wheels, on NX 100 shot wet w/ inline FP.
I have 4.875 rear gears.(Nissan Motorsports USA.)
2WD Pathfinder 3.5SE 5Spd.

I held off a S/C'd Maxima 0-45, before I was overtaken, if thats any consolation. The S/C Max runs 13.6, maybe quicker now, and puts 280hp+ @ wheels. This was done in a VG33E PF BPU+. The VQ PF wouldn't lose by much, maybe a car length or less. My VG33E PF runs 15.82 @ 88mph w/ 60 ft of 2.20.

BPU: Basic Performance Upgrades.

Still missing back seat, carpet, spare tire, interior trim, but speedo, tach, gauges all work, doesn't have a radio, carpet is missing, but what do you want w/ a Stolen Recovery Vehicle ?

For $3900, its a steal, buy a Nitrous Kit, and have fun.
Still on "DEALER" Tags.

Hmm, I know my 5spd 2k1 could beat 2k2 Altimas autos, I don't doubt he beat a 2k2. The 5spd 2k1s are a hair quicker than the auto 2k2s.

Great off the line up to 35(1-2)2nd pulls hard to almost 70(2-3) 3rd drag starts killing me, like throwing a brick through the air by 90-100 car starts to die. Pegged @ 120+ @ nearly 6000rpm. 18" Toyo Proxes Truck Tires on Enkei 6spokes.
Absolutely defeaning in cabin, sound resonates like crazy, glass vibrates around 45-55.

well, you guys can belive what ya wanna, and look at all the numbers you can find. fact is when me my friend race, im in front of him by at least second gear if not sooner. my other friend has a 96 gle with 18's and hes actually the quickest off the line. his car is completely stock. but usally if all 3 of us are on the line, ill pass the 2k2 first, and then the 96. reason im slower of the line is due to my intake. sorry to disappiont everyone but were all auto's, and you really cant blame it on bad driving. whats so hard? all you gotta do is hit the gas and dont take ur foot off of it.

A 2k 5spd with intake and Y-pipe would beat you on a roll easily since you drive an auto. Off the line depends on launches. What were your times at the track??

An intake/y-pipe/testpipe/catback 2k1 5spd would beat a 2k2 auto with intake/testpipe/catback.

No, a 2k1 5spd stock will pull on a 2k2 auto no matter what conditions. Stock vs stock the 5spd has better trap speeds.

Modded with ypipe, and cai a 2k1 5spd would be comp for the 6spd since a few run low 14s with that setup.

I watched a 2K2 Auto destroy a new gen Cobra, no intake sound, definitely stock muffler, definitely auto, since no herkin or jerkin, just straight line power. I was confused, I think he might have been on juice or there is a freak of a 2K2 on the streets of NYC.

White SE, 5spoke generic wheels, Stock height, no intake sound from under hood, stock muffler, definitely automatic.
This took place south Franny Lew, near Flatlands.
