Well not really blew up... hehe.. 89 motor is junked.. heres the story..
water inlet pipe (runs below manifolds in valley of motor) had a crack/leak in it somewhere.. so I begin to pull manifolds.. hmmm one intake plenum on the lower intake doesn't look so gunked.. actually looks almost clean!.. arghh its not sucking for some reason.. soo compression check.. 160 front back.. 150 back bank.. suspect cylinder tests 120.. damn damn damn.. sooo I think.. well it was idling relatively smooth and wasn't missing badly (a slight miss you could barely notice unless you were looking for it).. so I decide to labor on.. hell the thing still runs good.. so I begin to pull injector rail to get lower manifold off.. damn.. cracked head on two injectors.. well thats $200.. screw it.. I'm not ****ing with it.. so I parked it. I'll either dump a new motor in it or grab some of my salvage injectors over christmas and put it all back together.. right now I'm just preping the 90.. sanding today/tommorow and paint friday or monday... welp guess it was time eh?..
