My new car...

Well, as some of you know I sold my 95 Se in November to buy a house. I got married and bought the home and an S2000. I am storing that and driving it from time-to-time. However, I got the bug to start doing the SCCA racing events and bought this.....

All I can say is WOW! Nissan sure makes nice cars...
This 1993 Sentra SE-R is lowered 2" with Suspension Techniques springs and KYB struts. There are 16x7.5 rims with 40 series NITTO tires. Not to mention the RSTB, FSTB and the RSB. Finally there is a DTM exhaust with a Cone intake. The car has 75,000 miles on it and needs two new axles. Other than that...the car is great.

Glad to hear you stayed in the Nissan family. Is that an SE-R? (Sorry I'm not good with Sentras)

Yup

That's an SE-R alright. I actually think I like it as much, if not more, than my old Maxima. Something about 2 doors vs. 4.

So what mods does it have on it? All I can tell is ST springs, rims. FSTB, intake, and grills. And it may have 2 doors, but does it have the power of your old 4-door?

ha...

Mods? Well you names most of them. One thing you must remember is that the car is LIGHT. 0-60 comes in about 7.2 sec. That's not bad for a 4cyl car without Vtec. I have to admit, tooling around town with that lovely exhaust note and that torque that comes on at 2k it nothing short of amazing. It far and away beats my Maxima in that category. Now, that Maxima kills this car in terms of luxury. My god, this car is loud as hell

Happy motoring.

Wow, that's part of my dream, to have a 2-seater driven only in good weather. Don't know how people afford it thoguh, I just can't imagine. My cousin has a Z3 that he stores and drives an Integra every day. I guess it's nice to have but that money could have bought a cheap fixer-upper house where you let the tenants pay the mortgage. A buddy of mine is only 30 and he built himself a little real estate empire! Cars are such a waste of money but we do love them nonetheless...

Re: My new car...

Shumax,
Glad you got a couple of sweet cars in the stable? Er, is it by accident that you made no mention of the company car? In any case, the SER looks sweet. Seems like you gave it the Shumax treatment in terms of engine cleaning--even from the pics it looks mighty clean! Is it auto? What about the S2000? Also, did you get the SER already modded? That's lot of stuff on there already...

Anyways, good hearing from ya...

MISMOSH!

Hey what's going on? Yes, I still have the Ol' 2k1 Impala. The car has about 40,000 miles on it already---I drive the heck out of it for work.

The S2K sits in a barn and is driven very little. I think there are 2000 miles on it, if that. I love it, but will sell it when I have kids.

The SE-R came with everything you see there. After 6 months of searching I finally found one like my old Maxima---clean and well modded already. I just let someone else take the hit on the mods. I plan to keep that car forever. At some point I will get a promotion and lose the company car. The Sentra will be the commuter for me then.

Oh well----I will have to meet you in Brunswick sometime.

Take care-

Some prefer women, other cars. It's kinda like what, Cal Ripken to have a different car to drive a diff car every other day of the week? Heavy paper though, but there's the argument too that you can't take it with you! Of all the people I work with, nobody has a nice car better than say an Explorer SUV. Most are house poor, ie with the great interest rates I'd guess some have spent over 5 times their salary on a house. It's doable because most people have paid off half their starter house as they reach their late 20's. We love our Home Depots too!
