what kind of adhesive won't cause damage to paint??

Got a friend who's graduating in a week, then he's off to grad school...so we're planning to rice up his '95 Tercel 'Sport' as a going away present. Gonna add a big a$$ spoiler and an underbody kit made of cardboard (as well as dual soup can exhausts and lots of other crap)

we want to attach the spoiler to his trunk w/out causing paint damage...anyone know of any good adhesives? Will temporary duct-tape mess up his paint?

Thanks

Duct tape may cause damage since it's an older car. Try double sided molding tape from Home depot or autoparts stores, I've used it on paint without any problems. It's basically what they use to attach the facotry emblems on a Maxima.
