before and after pics: Sprint springs
Today at my house, JAY25 came over to help out his friend Yvette(hope I spelled it right)to put on the Sprint springs on her '99 Maxima. He cut off one coil off the rear of the Sprint's to make the car sit more evenly overall. Check it out. Maximapower was also here to put on the Stillen front lip. You can sort of see his car in the third pic, the one with the Racing Hart M5 wheels. Yvette also had the Stillen front lip put on today. 3 mods in one day as Jaime said: Sprint springs, cut rear springs, and front lip. Sadly, this was as close of a Maxima meet we would have here in New Orleans. Just four cars...lol!
Here's a shot of how her car look with the stock suspension:

Here's another shot of the stock suspension with Jaime illustration the big gap:

And finally, here's the final product. Yvette in her car with the new Sprint's and also Jaime's 18s. He sold the 18s to her. I forgot the name of the wheels.

Here's a bigger pic of the above image. Gives you a better look of the Sprint's and Yvette...lol.

Btw, I have Sprint's too and have the rear cut off two coils. I don't know why maybe because of the Koni's. Yvette has the stock struts and one coil seem good enough for her car. Anyway, with the pics you get a good idea how cutting off one coil look. I would take pics of my car, but I got the ugly stockers on.

Yeah, there's lots of Max's in that pic., 4 gens. windows must roll all the way down because there is now way to change that.

The rear sprints have three coils that are spaced closer then the other side, I guide myself by the top coil and cut the coil below, thats one complete coil and evenly cut, thats why I said in another post to use a dremel or a craftsman rotatary tool. I think she only posted one time so if you happen to see a lurker dont offend her, she does have a girly name that I can know for a fact.
arnaud i know a guy at meinekie here who can torch a coil off for like 10-20$. he cut all 4 of my stock springs for me, but i dont have the top mounts for the koni struts so i cant even use them.. oops. oh well.
her car looks good.
