Greetings,

I've been hearing a lot of stuff about this Dec 16th Dallas meet and I am really looking forward to seeing a lot of my old friends from these forums again. Somebody said they heard I'd only show up for the dyno? Wow, funny how word of mouth changes from one person to the next.

Anyways, I'll be there for the meet, not just the dyno.. who can pass up hanging out with a bunch of cool people and most likely eating great barbeque across the street from Corutesy to boot?

BTW, I was just wondering since it doesn't seem to be straightened out yet.. what ever happened with the dyno? I thought Kaleb was setting it up? Russ, I never even heard of Intercrew, I don't know where you got that I said they have a bad reputation. There are 3 dynos I can list off the top of my head in DFW.. Alamo in Arlington, FASTech in Garland, and Speedworks in Lewisville. I can probably hook you guys up with a big dyno day for $50/each or less at either Alamo or FASTech, and possibly at Speedworks although I've not dyno'd there yet.

Speedworks has the most advanced dyno of the 3, with a wideband o2 sensor they place in your exhaust pipe to measure your A/Fs and plot them along with your HP & torque. I plan on dyno tuning my air/fuel curve there within the next couple weeks. I don't know if they're in-ground or on a lift, and of course an in-ground dyno would be better (faster) for a big dyno day.

Of the remaining two, Alamo has a lift.. so they'll be a bit slower and they're kind of far from Courtesy Nissan (expect a 50 minute drive)... so it's really a toss-up between Speedworks and FASTech at this point.

I'd probably vote for FASTech.. it's in Garland, about 15 minutes from Courtesy, and it's an in-ground dyno with a real cool owner (Sean Freese). They do LS1 dyno days at least once a month for cheap so they will probably hook us up as well. Sean @ Fastech can be reached at 972 278 1649 or 214 402 8567 if one of you would like to call and coordinate the dyno day if Kaleb hasn't done so already (I haven't heard anything.) FYI this is the same place where Russell dyno'd his Trans Am at Maxus 99.

If that doesn't work out, Speedworks in Lewisville can be reached at 972-395-9844.

Later,
Andi

Andi,

Check the Midwest/Texas forum, All the information is there.

Or just go to http://www.4dsc.com

The Dyno is at Intercrew Auto Salon in Richardson, just off of Springvally. $45 for 3 runs. Garland/Irving/Lewisville are a bit out of the way.

Andi, you know you're always welcome at a Maxima meet. Sentra owners however, we'll have to think long and hard about :0).

You know that guy who bought your car like blew a head gasket or something with his NOS?

Oh.... oops.. Sorry about that then.

Does Intercrew have the new kind of Dynojet with the wideband o2 sensor that plots your A/Fs? Just curious.. I love seeing that..

Paul sprayed my ol' Max and blew the engine? Damn... that sucks. Did he ever get his car fixed? Was it warrantied? I haven't heard a thing about it. Ugh...

Andi

If you want details on your old car, call Loren, he know's all about it since he told me as well.

Also Andi, I got the impression from you on what you said. That is why I said it. Anyways, Sentra owners better be welcome!

hey get it straight, he wasn't on the bottle. and it wasn't the head gasket. for the last time, he spun a bearing on the piston because the over revved it. no bottle, no blown head gasket, no bs.

I do know he was SPRAYING, and he misshifted the car and hit 2nd instead of 4th. It reved with the NOS and blew the engine. He had to buy a whole new engine because it was not repairable. This was per Loren.

I didn't know what happened for sure, which is why I said "blew a head gasket or something" note the "or something. All I know is he came into Courtesy one day (well, he's been there several times) and Wic was talking to him and I about how he messed up the engine. It sucks too, but at least he got another engine.

Yeah.. I've been pretty busy lately.. but I really look forward to this meet.

Supra's fine, other than getting me into way too much trouble...
