Today this dude at work came up to me and said you got your tires from the Tire Rack, right? I was like yep, what do you need? he said he needs a set of 175/70-13, and the tire rack has some for $30 each. Then he said he just has to check with his wife to make sure it's ok to order these tires. It got me thinking, man, we're ordering 235/40 WR-18's with rims, and this guy has a decent job but 3 kids and he's gotta check with the significant other on a $144 purchase. It made me appreciate the freedom I have. I blew $100 buying these French girls drinks last Thu. nite and didn't think twice about it, we had fun. I suppose one cannot do that when one has a family.

That certainly is one way to put it, but then again, who didn't? It's just one of those things, some see the cup as half-empty, and others half-full. When one's cynical, there's just no two ways about it. Sometimes we need to be reminded, that's all.

If I owned a Porsche 911 turbo, then I would say, "I am blessed to be able to purchase such a nice car."

But a maxima??

175/70 13
a 1983 Toyota Tercel...his winter car.

He had to check with his wife because his last purchases included a Supercharger from Stillen and 20inch tire/wheel package that was being shipped from Japan.

I wish I bought something else.

The IS300 or 350Z would have been perfect, but no. I had to go and buy a car with no aftermarket support and crappy paint.

I am thankful to my parents for buying me this car back in the day. I am also thankful that I have maintained it so it is still running in tip top shape.

...and my wife is in charge of the checkbook...
