buy the significant other a pair of shoes or a day at the spa; you're set for a few months

on my cell phone on the way home from the track:
GF: did you have fun?
me: yes, I won 2nd place again
GF: wow, so is racing your car like your favorite thing?
me: I would say 'yes', its a lot of fun to race
GF: I guess I won second place also
me thinking: DOH!!!!!! I just can't win... its a good thing women always fall for flowers and cards and such...

Altough it is a very good idea. I just need to get my girl to actually contribute to the mod fund or buy me some mods. She's really interent savvy. The only problem is she know's I'm so detailed about my car and I put soo much work into it that she's afraid she'll buy the wrong mods. I just need my friend to get into her head, and tell her what I need for the car.

Relationships are truly a learning experience. Me and my girl, me and my car, and me and my girl and car.

wow some one was going to ask this question sooner or later

My parents- Weill lets just say they think i am taking public transportation..
My GF- I really cant say So i guess my answer is NO comment.
No one supports me, its a hobby and i enjoy it. Well atleast its not a drug abuse or drinking habit, something that is really bad for you.
All i know is that working on the maxima and learning about the maxima is very fun and a tension breaker... theraputic.... Hey i would rather take my fustrastion out on the max than anyone... but then i go any take care of the max after my cool off period.. just like when i lost two screws in the middle console for the dash and had to take the whole thing apart to get the screws out..

My mom doesn't care much... it's my father looking at every little thing i do to the max as something negative that is going to get me tickets or make driving conditions more dangerous but some things he's okay with and helps me with repairs if I don't know something.... no GF, no wife.. I wouldn't have one that is against me doing stuff ot my car

The wife hates it when I want to MOD - "why spend money on a perfectly good car?"... she just doesn't understand...

My Mom & Dad don't mind at all, they actually help me financially with my mods. My Dad helps me do everything with my car, he actually removed my cat for me, . They see it as a healthy hobby, instead of going to the club I'll stay home and work on my car, what parent wouldn't like that? As far as girlfriends, well, I see a girlfriend as just another commitment I don't need right now, so no problems there. But all the girls I hang out with really like my cars, and always want me to drive them around; and I don't mind that at all.

dad hates mods, thats why i dont have any on the max or the civic(what?!?! a civic without mods, are you kidding? )
mom wouldn't care, she's cool with anything, my dad tells me that i can "dress up" cars when i buy my own.
funny story, my dad and i were coming home from home depot the other day and there was this riced out accord in front of us(pre 97 model, coupe). it had this huge flared out body kit on it, the sides and rear stuck out a lot, and my dad say it and said, "why the hell did this guy put a skirt on his car?"
i started laughing so hard, he thought i was crazy, he still doesn't get the concept of body kits.

My mom didn't until we switched cars for a week. I needed to take a trip on the highway and had gotten a flat in the Maxima the day before, so I took her S70 and she took my Max for the week. By the time I got back she was raving about the handling (RSB I guess) and the power, I think she wants to keep it.

My girlfriend doesn't care either way, she's not into cars. As long as I keep her happy I can do whatever I want with the car. She thinks it's funny though, I refer to the Max as one of my loved ones.
