Just shaved trunk ... EASY!!!!
Just shaved trunk ... EASY!!!!
Ok, after much debate, I ended up shaving the hamburger off my 95 SE and left the M A X I M A.
I used 3M's Ahesive tar & adhesive remover (safe for most cured automotive paints).
First, I took 3" clear tape and taped over the M A X I M A. Then, I slowly poured the 3M stuff on the hamburger and wiped off any drippage (the tape was a safety measure to prevent damage to the M A X I M A).
After a couple of minutes, I used dental floss which kept snapping on me but finally got it off by working at the edges and moving inward.
I rolled the remaining adhesive into a ball, it peeled away just fine. No hairdryer needed. Now, the photoshopped pic on my homepage is a reality.
Looks good. Going to the car wash now, then time for a wax!

DCmax, Those are indeed Konig Caffeines, 17x8, 19.9 lbs. each, DIRT cheap to afford. And yes Cyrus is right they are the best in the world
. I also am ridin' on B&G springs on stock SE struts. I have had the b&g's paired with my stock struts for 6 months now and they are still alive and kickin...I'm not gonna blow $350 on AGX's until I am forced too...am I cheap? Some may say...but If I want a full body kit I can't be blowin' tha $ on boring 'ol struts.

I thought the hamburger has a hole in it? Or does it? I shaved the maxima but wanted to do the hamburger too!
2 looks better
Being that we have the same year car, 1995
Was there any color discoloration, or fade
when you took off the "nissan" emblem?
I want to do that also, but i have a pebble
beige color and I dont want to take it off
and have any problems with the colors not
matching.
hit me back,
