Need Advice

I currently own a 1999 Nissan Maxima se limited in sherwood green, auto ...anyways, I am curiuous if I should keep it, mod it etc. It seems every time I do something I mess up, I bought cefiro indiglo kickplates, I blew something in the door when wiring...I cracked the headlight bracket when changning bulbs in the clearance lights, ehh fryed my headlight harnesses when putting different bulbs in not knowing it, and now I bought new wheels and second week of having them I bent 2 in a pot hole...(not my fault thanks to construction on i-95) anyways...seems liek every time i try to do things with my car to look half as good as peoples cars on here it comes out wrong, I look at tony's car, delio etc and no problems at all...worst off is the auto, its such a drag when driving especially when u want to race...I dunno, I need some input on whether I should just mod my car, or keep it stock, sell the stuff I did and move on to a different car prob this summer or next summer? Thanks everyone,

Mike

Man that sucks that your having bad luck modding but dont feel bad s**t happens.Modding should be done by someone who knows something about cars at the very least and Ive found its better to pay to have someone do big important crap than try and totally screw it up yourself. But the way your luck sounds Id just keep it clean and drive it stock.

HA! If you think they had no problems you're dead wrong! There are problems around every corner when working on a car, the trick is to learn to deal with them and work around them. Don't give up, just take a different approach and keep at it.

Mike

Your car is not breaking down on you ... I say keep it.

So you're a bit unlucky modding it, big deal. Sh*t happens. Imagine if you sold this car, got something else you end up having the same bad luck, + it starts giving you mechanical problems!!!

Keep the car if it's reliable and cross your fingers when you work on your next mod.

It helps if you hone your skill on your friends car first The max is not the first car I modded so I made my mistakes on my previous cars. I only do stuff I know I can handle or I have researched enough. It's a good idea to have aleast one real machanic friend. You can learn so much from them. They do this for a living and they know lots of small tricks that will make life much easier. If not, work at a garage part time or something. Watch and learn. Pick up a haynes manual or chilton. You can learn alot about cars by just reading the service manual.
