I live in MS and i'm fixing to drive up to CT in a couple weeks, where i live, the cops don't hassle me about my hyper white turn signals or the sidemarkers. So i was wondering, can a cop give me a ticket for my lights if i'm in another state?....cause i really don't know the laws in other states. thanks for your help

I think the law that applies here, and a lot of other places, is the standard emergency vehicle law. That if there's any blue at all seen in your lights, and they're not stock, they can be considered illegal. Course, that's like saying it's illegal to have marijuana on you in Amsterdam - 99% of cops out there won't act on anything like that.

However, I did get cited for hyperwhites in my acura, along with having tint that tested at 19.9% in the back, when 20% was the limit (in the same traffic stop...I think he was bitter though because he couldn't get the violation he really wanted)

I find it weak that stock HIDs are disregarded when most are a hell of a lot more bright/'distracting' than hyperwhite/add-in bulbs.

in CT its definitely illegal to have the turn signals anything other than yellow and they just implemented a law against the blue bulbs but its rare for anyone to actually get pulled over. ive got the blue headlights and i havent been bothered...i wouldnt worry about it too much, just be careful with the turn signals, i think they woujld loook out for that more

if your lights are DOT legal but still have blue in them they may mess with ya but get a recept saying or the box they came in saying DOT or SAE on it thats what got me out of a ticket, BTW im in louisiana and also where i live here we cant have neons running while were driving
