At first i was laffin. but i had a bad feellin so i didnt run him

the man didnt have an exhaust he had huge 17's on there and a nice skirt package...

Would i b able to keep up with him even if he had the swap ???

 

did he have 5 lugs in the front?..ive never heard of an accord getting a type R integra swap. usually accords get a h22..

 

im not really into the honda market so i dont know what h22 is ... he jus sed type r engine

If it's truly a ITR engine...I would stay away, expecially if its a 2 door Accord! I am not aware of a successful swap of an ITR engine to an Accord; the mounts don't line up at all! Don't insult my intelligence, I know you can weld them, but the durability will NEVER be there!

well the integras ive seen that get a type R engine usually get a type R suspension too..stock they are 4 lugs, when they go type R they get 5 lugs in the front. thats how i know people are lying when they say they got a type R engine..anyways..h22 is the prelude engine..

Um, if I recall correctly, the term riceboy was made popular years ago by a website by Bryan Hong at UCSD. The proper definition for a "rice-rocket", the type of car a "rice-boy" drives, is a vehicle which has a lot of appearance mods which do little to enhance the performance of a vehicle other than to make it look cool. Examples would be stickers, aero skirts, huge spoilers, or interior trim enhancements. There's nothing wrong with those additions, it's just that it's somewhat hypocritical to tout a vehicle with only those additions as a "performance vehicle."

Also, not that anyone has said it here, but the term riceboy does not refer to only people of asian decent. Although it usually does (since mainly asians driving imports started the craze on the west coast), there is such as thing as riceboys of every race and nationality. The riceboy term has to do with the car, not the driver.

So give Woodear a break. He is just making an opinion.

 

I am not getting on anyone. Riceboy, huh? I have been in this scene for about 7 years (2 on the MAXIMA list, 2 on the CAVALIER list and 3 on an INTEGRA list.) I don't know how old you are, nor does it matter, but I have gathered that I am older than most here; thus I know what a RICEBOY is, so don't don't bore me with your description..OK?!

Well, I'd have a hard time calling an Accord with a "nice" body kit, 17's, and an ITR engine swap rice...

I think I can honestly say that I've on this bbs for longer than most people here. Even before some of the veterans who have come and gone, like the guru Andi, who pretty much started up the Maxima bbs with the craze and all! If you don't remember Andi, then you haven't been on this bbs very long.

And before you go off flaming Woodear...let me just say we've been through the whole Woodear ordeal like a dozen times already. At first I thought he was just a rude and mean person, but if you read his posts, he is just trying to be objective. So if you don't like what woodear says, keep in mind that this bbs has many different minds with different opinions of what is right and wrong. We just gotta accept people for who they are and not let it bother us. It is only when a post seems to negatively single out something false that I take the time to post a non technical reply.

Um, since when is swapping engines a 'rice' thing to do??? It is a genuine performance mod! So what if that dude's got like a dozen foglights on his bumper, or a ton of stickers...if he got the mods to back it up, then it's tough to call his ride 'rice.' I get the feeling that some people here think that any modded Honda or Acura is a 'rice rocket.' C'mon folks, if we want those people to respect Maximas, we gotta respect their rides too.

I will say he doesn't have the swap. But that STILL doesn't make him a riceboy anymore than the Maxima.

People do that for a reason, in this case, the reason is that he called the Accord owner a riceboy which isn't justified considering the mods on his own Maxima.

This has nothing to do with what much money he spent on mods. Bottom line is that one should treat people the way he wants to be treated.
If he will be upset when I call his Max(bunch of lights and a filter) a ricer, then he should not call the Accord(17" with aero) a ricer.

ITR swap into an accord... well would be stupid... because accords are heavy, 1.8 liters worth of torque in a heavy car is not smart. Now, he probably has a H series swapped into the accord. In that case, he would probably beat you.

good point, but I think the reason for dropping a ITR engine into an Accord is because the ITR engine is more easily modded than the 2.2L accord engine...I think.

i might be wrong though..

 

eric i was talkin dohc 2.2 outta the prelude.. accord only has 2.2 sohc 160 vs 190 stock.. then u mod that.. plus bein a 2.2 it has more tq.. i sorry.. but if he say he gots a 1.8 in the accord race him.. no way there enough tq to get off the line 1st

I hit the reply and forgot who posted...but someone said to race the Accord for the fun of it. However, didn't the guy said he'll race for a "bill"? I'm not sure which bill, but I'm guessing $100. To me, I'd say "Sure, but nobody owes anybody in the end". Just race him, no $. If you're pretty serious about your car, then go for the pink slip.
