Too this day we have been waiting for JWT VQ30DE cams for 2-3 years. I don't think they are going to make some unless someone takes it upon themselves. To bring some core billets to JWT to be ground. Also considering the VQ30DE has 4 camshafts it would be expensive. The only alternative is to get regrinds. Regrinds are like $150 from ISKY and they can grind them to whatever specs you want.

That would be cool but the prob is I dont know anything about the cams. Like what would they make the duration or anything.

Thanks, at least the wheel gap in that pic is not as noticable. The eibock/tokico is a good stock replacment, but I just dont like the way it sags in the back. Pbobabaly why I never have more than a half a tank of gas.HEHE

Frankly JWT does not I repeat, does not give a damn about the Maxima market. They've made it and frankly they are so busy with the big things... they don't car about selling 10 pairs of cam a year for the Maxima.

Shing is right..

I can remember on Andi's old bbs we were talking about 5th gen max cams and when JWT would make VQ cams. Now 2 years later nothing is out. JWT is very busy with other projects so I doubt they will ever make VQ cams. Now the sr20de and vg30e cams are both $560, but I bet VQ30DE cams would run like $1k. Just for the fact that you have to deal with 4 camshafts vs 2 with the SR/VG engines. Your only alternative is to get core cams and have them reground. ISKY and Crane cams are very well known cam builders. If you had the specs to your cam, they can tell you what specs it would take to get different perfromance. Lets not forget that you have to remove the intake collector to install the rear cams too. So its labor intensive, I'm sure a committed DIY could do it, I replaced my cams but I had to pull my heads. Also since the VQ30DE has no variable valve timing you can/will lose some low speed driveablitily. Not to mention it would take about 2-3 grinds to find the best overall setup. I can tell you now if you go too agressive with a cam your MIL will light up quickly. Then you will need a custom program for the cams too if they are that "wild". Of course if I had a VQ mine would have had cams already .

Ron (I30Krab) said the same thing when he got back from JWT. There are bigger fish to fry for Jim.

The wheel gap would be less if you used 235/45ZR/17 tires.
