Actually, contrary to popular belief, it is not an acronym.
The engineers who defined the action of flooring a vehicle believed the sound resembled this:
"WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT, WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT, WWOOOOOOOOOOT, WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOT, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT, WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOTTT" <--6-speed
This behavior is even more noticeable with the Frankencar intake.
So it was aptly named "WOT" as a result of the findings.

wow, i had no idea it meant wide open throttle, i thought it meant woman on tampon. ur sittin there driving all in the mood to get some luvin that nite, then u remember ur woman is on the tampon and u floor it cuz u get so upset. im so stupid when it comes to car stuff jeez.
