Does the midpipe also include the mounting bracket for the air filter?

hehe, adapter is what it's called. at least we got it all squared away.

no dyno's yet, maybe deezo or erica will be up for it, deezo might work out better since this is his only mod. we'll see.

No, I already have a pop charger. What I need is the little twisted metal bracket that holds the adapter to the car.

Check out my thread on the intake. There's no cutting at all, just removal of the stock airbox. The car cooks with this thing.

You dont need a pop charger, right? Also if you do add a pop charger hom much horse power will this add. Also with the pop charger you could keep the K&N filter, right?
Thanks,
Paul

You will need a pop charger to filter the air.

People, I've been holding out for a year and a half because of all of the issues with the POP vs. CAI and this intake is not like either as far as power goes. This intake rocks!!!!!

How much for the Silver for a 2K2 with Apexi instead (I know it's more). I actually sent you a PM on this.

hrm..you need to testfit the 4th gen midpipe onto a VE and do back to back dynos between home made pop and your midpipe:evil:..if you tell me how much it'll be, i'll pay for the dynos(assuming you're willing) if you sell me the midpipe at a small discount.
sorry, i'm trying to weasil parts all over the place, dont get mad.

A JWT intake, Stillen intake, HKS intake, and Frankencar intake will all dyno the same. They're the exact same thing. It's all a matter of how much you want to pay for a "name". Cotton filters and foam filters flow the same also on a NA motor like the Maxima. Expect about 5-7fwhp from these intakes. Maybe slightly more if you get the midpipe.

I'm hoping people are really looking at the whole setup as opposed to just the filter itself because the filter are just a part of the equation. I'm very curious to see what the gains are on paper because it can definitely be felt coming from the box intake.

I still can't get over the sound. It's a little different the the 3.5 VQ but at 6000 RPM, it's like it's breaking the sound barrier.

Thats fine if we knew or saw a Dyno for this intake. But it looks like we will have one soon.
