Carbon fiber spark cover...any one interested?

I'm currently talking with OE Tuning out of LA about making a carbon fiber spark plug cover. You know the "T" shape plastic part that has "Nissan V6" on it? That cover is on all '95-'01 Maximas. Well I'm trying to guage interest and see if anyone would like this for there car? Most of us have a polished valve cover and this might compliment the polishing.

I'm filling out a special request right know and I need to get a rough number of people that might be interest. The more people interested the better the price.

The link below is of one item that they currently make for Acuras and Hondas.

Id be real interested if you could either not put Nissan on their or pit something else like cefiro or Infiniti on their. Im sure a lot of people would be more interested if you could get cefiro on their.

I am interested, but not if it says Cefiro, sorry, but we don't have one, so why put the name like we do?!?

If the price is right, I am in for 2.

I'm interested if it's not too pricy. Less than $75. On a side note, have you seen their application list for CF hood. They list maxima as "Coming soon"

I was going through the website...they list the valve cover at:

O.E. Tuning Type-S Carbon Fiber Cover MSRP $599.00

There is no way I am paying even remotely close to the near cousin of $599 for carbon fiber...keep it under or close to $100 for people to go through with it.

That's cool.

I'm looking to get this plain with no lettering. I hope it's under $75 because it's not that big.

I'd Imagine the CL one is expensive because it covers the whole engine. The CL-S has a big plastic cover over the whole engine stock.

The same type of billet aluminum or CF plug cover for Honda/Acura are in the $75-$100 range. ie. STR, AEM. I guess I would spend as much as $100 for one. I like that CF spun type of weave. Maybe color carbon fiber kevlar would sell too. Black/Red, Black/Blue, Black/yellow..

I doubt it. Plastic is cheaper than CF.

Yes, my wife has a '03 CL, 6-speed. Yes it's faster then my AE but would be dead even against a '02 Max, 6-speed. In the comparison of suspension? CL wins hands down. I had to spend $1,000 just to get it close. Close ratio gear box, very supportive front bucket seats but it's a 2 door. I'm a 4-door guy and I love my car.

Stillnmax: Loved your painted carbon hood but if you got this cover I'd recommend steam cleaning your engine.

Cutlr7: You have been in most of my post. Glad you enjoyed the test drive.

As for the cover it's going to be a little more involved. Tony and I are looking into this a little more because there is a tooling charge. We may need to get backing from fellow Maxima vendors so I'll keep everyone informed.
