2002 or 2003 maxima?

I need some opinions on whether I should get a 2003 that just came
out or save some money and get a 2002. From my understanding its
the same car, right? Just some new colors.

The 2003 is going for sticker price or very close to it.
But how much should I expect to pay for a 2002? Like $1000 under invoice, right now?

Thanks.

Hey man, I would say go with the 2k2 and save yourself some money and use the money you save on mods ...but you will save a lot of money on the 2k2 - Your right, Its pretty much the same thing as the 2k3 besides the new colors that they just came out with ( but they have the TE trim on the 2k3, which isn't much but AE pedals, AE door sills, and chrome dipped rims which you can get done yourself) - I'm sure you can get the car more than 1k under invoice, as they have many rebates now, and they're trying to get rid of the old inventory, to recieve the new 2k3's..

Hope this helps..

Later.

Up here in Toronto, I was talking to a dealer about a new Max and he said he could do better on a 2003 due to incentives being offered on 2003's that aren't available on 2002's. But conceptually, I would think that some good deals should be available on 2002's. Since they are both virtually the same (and I must say - very nice), I'd go for whichever one you can get the best deal on.

You might do better buying a new 2003 rather than a used 2002 because of the lower loan rates. Check out the loans for both cars, and see which you will do better on.

The 2K3 will have a higher resale value because it's a year newer, but you might save that by the rebates for the 2K2.

Get the 2k2 are cars dont have the best resale value anyways plus years often overlap in price down the road.

2k3 going for sticker, are you sure you weren't trying to buy a Toyota or Honda? j/k

Depends on how long you want to keep the car. On this forum it seems like people change cars every 1-2 years, so if that's the case, definitely go for 2k2, or even 2k2 used. Paying list for a Nissan is stupid. People paid like 26-27 when the 255 hp came out, and look at where they are now. 21k gets you a new stripped 6-spd.
