Tire poll for my new wheels
Tire poll for my new wheels
This is sort of a repost in reguards to the questions of other members about what i wanted to get out of the tires so here goes:
first off i want at least 20-25000 miles out of them
great dry traction
no less than the re92 stocks on wet traction
don't care about snow traction
great cornering with no squalling until pushed really hard
good steering response
something that i'm not going to feel like i'm on ice when i hit the deeper puddles built up in the road
no more cabin noise than the stockies
and reasonable ride comfort
well i hope that helps not cats your votes ohh and i deleted the old if your curious moderators

Here are my observations after a month of driving on the Ziex 512's:
- 30,000 Mile limited treadwear warranty
- since it rains alot up here its been good in the wet
- m + s rated
- great traction and cornering without squealing
- tires being wider meant better grip in lane changing and stopping
- acceptable tire road noise
- I was riding on Koni Sports set at the softest setting and
Eibach Pro Kit springs on stock Toyo Proxes previously.
Switching to 235/45-17s Ziexes with the Konis at the same settings
I've noticed more bumps on the road and some road groove wandering.
My buddy who drives an Audi A4 just got 17" Kumho Ecstas last month
as well. He says the same thing about bumps and wandering so it
must be common when going to a larger size.
- priced lower than Kumho Ecstas in my area.
- overall I'm pleased with the purchase.
