Just a heads up, I was grocery shopping in the local Costco last night...

9004 Phillips BlueVisions for $6.99 a piece. They are usually sold for $13 a piece at auto parts stores. Anyone looking for them should run, not walk, to your nearby Costco.

Yeah Shing, I'm in Katy/West Houston so I know what you mean. But hey, $13 isn't too bad for lights, period. But when you can get it for half that, it's better.

This Costco was in Hartford, CT. Check the Costco in Queens, there's one in College Point? THe one I was at last night only carried the BlueVisions for 9004. They had the regular and long-life bulbs from Phillips for 9004 and 9007. I know BlueVisions exist for all applications...I got the H4s for my Dad's car from the Strauss Auto on Northern Blvd.

Dang! And to think I was at Costco just last night....

Funny, I always go through the automotive section and didn't see them.....

Hmm....

Between this deal and the 6qts of Mobile 1 for $22, they've got some good car deals.

Too bad the California Water Blades aren't sold there anymore (at least at the Costco I go to).....

I don't know if the layout of the aisles are the same from store to store...but it was right across from where the motor oils are kept...right next to some cheezy auto stereo equipment.

I got myself a case of Mobil oil too.

Costco membership

I was just wondering--speaking of all the good deals at costco--what is membership fee for going there?
I know they have a lot of auto goodies and I have been bumming off other people's cards, so I figured that I might as well get my own membership and go there--is it good for all costco stores?

thanks for the info...

I don't believe there is a costco there in college pt. I know there is one in Long Island city--is that one there in college pt new?

$45/year. Usually, if its a new store, the -->

membership is free for a year, and you can join online.

New York locations are found <A HREF="http://www.costco.com/Info/CostcoNews/Locations/GetLocations.ASP?sbMap=True&sbState=0&sbCountry=1& log=#New York">here</A>.

Let me make a statement about BV compared to PIAA.

It is a good price for BV bulbs. But I tried it out and it is not as white or bright as the PIAA superwhite bulbs. It is pretty close to the Cool Blues bulbs though. I think the CB is more popular and easier to buy at the local auto stores. There is still no subsitute for PIAA Superwhite bulbs yet. But it is not cheap for the $$.

Yeah there is. Narva Rangepower 9004s are whiter, brighter, and about half as expensive as PIAA SWs.

I think that Courtesy sells them. I got mine from 1 (888) 673-3280. I don't remember the name of the place.
