insurance claim time limmit?
insurance claim time limmit?
I hope this is easier for you to understand.
Is there a time limit, in Florida, to report an accident to the insurance company. If you can't understand this, find any missing punctuation, or misspelled words do not hesitate to make fun of me here on the org. After all, that is what its here for right.

Haha, see what a good job the state university system in FL does. Actually I do have a problem with grammar and spelling. Ever since I was a little kid I couldn’t spell very well. For term papers spellcheck is my best friend. Any way, if making fun of my spelling on an Internet car chat forum makes you happy, I am glad I could be there to help you out.
I apologize that my post's grammatical errors surpassed your ability to actually figure out what I was trying to say.
I don't understand ebonics sorry
Normally I wouldn't say anything but IT WAS BAD ENOUGH for me not to understand right off the bat. And I don't think one should have to sit here and translate if you're the one with the questions. Not a big deal but at least try a little harder. I'll even make it a point to try and help from now on.
IMO i would report it right after the accident happens just to be safe...
See my friend was following some girl who braked for a store drive way (no turn signa), decided not to turn and gassed it. Then changed her mind again, and stood on the brakes. So my friend assuming the girl was going to keep going didnt have the chance to stop again in time. The result was that she bumped the girl infont of her (a Ford Explorer) going less then 10mph. Then a dude hit her from behind. It was by campus so a FSUPD officer saw it after it happened and came by to check it out. The cop said she didnt see any damage on the exp., and the other two cars just swaped a little paint, so she didnt write any tickets, just a simple report. The three of them decided to jsut let it go, the exp. didnt have any damage, my friend didnt want to make the guy who hit her pay b/c she hit the exp., and the guy who hit my friend just wanted to get out of there. So now like a month later the chick with the exp. calls my friend saying that her dad got some estimates and its going to be $495. I understand thats its my friends fault she should have been driving more defensivly, but the other girl didn't use blinkers and drove in a way some could call wreckless. It jsut seems fishy that now the girl starts looking for money and it just so happens that the amount is $5 less then the deductable, so it apears to be better not to get insurance involved. For all I know the girl could have backed in to a parked car at a bar 2 weeks after and caused the damage if there is any. Im going to make sure she sees the car and the estinates before she does anything. Just a side bar...if there are any economists/law students in here think about how stupid the florida law about "if you rear end some one its automaticaly your fault" is. It totaly takes away the insentive for drivers to use caution when stoping, using turn signals, etc. Its so inefficient if you use the "hand rule" frame work to look at it. What a bounch of idiot legislators we have in FL.

you do know that I of course won't be sharing what I learned with you
education is what you make of it....don't blame the university system for your failings

But the whole point of the law as it is suggests that you should drive in such a fashion that if even if the car in front of you has no brake lights, you should be able to stop safely.
It's called defensive driving.
